It’s finally here! That event you have waiting for/planning for is quickly approaching. You have so many things to take care of to look your best, and hiring a makeup artist is one of them. There are so many makeup artists to choose from. How will you hone in on the artist that is just for you? The answer is reviews! Here I will show you why reviews are important when looking for the right artist, and after you have worked with him/her.
Why Reviews Are Important – Where To Start
Going to a service-based website, like Wedding Wire is a great place to start. There are tons of reviews there. The great thing about service-based websites is they have grouped similar businesses together for you. After a few quick clicks, you can search for the exact service (in this example a makeup artist) in your locale. You can see how many stars they have on average, and if you have time, you can read through the reviews and see what exactly are the characteristics that past clients loved about this artist.
Search engine websites, like Google, are also amazing to use. There are similar features: like detailed reviews and 5-star rating system. But, on these sites, you will have to add “near me” or put in your zip code in the search section to find artists in your locale.
Why Reviews Are Important – What To Look For
After you choose your searching tool, you should look to narrow it down to 3-4 potential artists. Read the reviews and see if what’s most important to you is highlighted in the reviews from past clients. If you have a tight time schedule – do clients mention the artist being timely? If you can get stressed easily – do past clients mention the artist bringing a relaxing atmosphere? Those reviews can really save you a lot of time and trouble of contacting multiple artists that might not be the right fit for you. Know what kind of experience you want when you book your artist, and then look for that in the reviews.
Why Revievs are Important – Give Back
You see how helpful other clients taking a few moments to write a review can save you tons of time in the booking process? Well can you be willing to give that favor to others in the future? Also, if you loved your experience with your makeup artist, is she/he worth it to take less than 5 minutes to write 2-3 sentences on your interaction with them?
Reviews are like the gift that keeps giving and giving. They help people, like you find the right artist They help people, like you, save time finding the right artist. Reviews also help the artist get in contact with the right client so that everyone in the process is happy.
So the next time you hire a makeup artist, or other service-based business, take a moment and fill out a review!
