You guys know how much I love Urban Decay, and they have come out with their limited edition Vice 2 Palette. Last year I waited to get the first Vice, and when I decided to get it, it was gone. I was determined not to let that happen again.
This palette has 20 exclusive eye shadow colors: 2 matte, 7 high shine/glitter, and 11 shimmer/satin.
You can create a variety of looks from subtle with a little flare to dramatic out on the town. It sells for $59 on the Urban Decay website, or any other retailer that sells UD. If you follow my facebook page you would have seen that UD was doing a 20% online sale off the entire site a couple of week ago, and that’s when I got mine.
I love that the packaging is a sturdy plastic with a jewel UD on the top. I also like the push button feature to open the palette and the extra large mirror that comes with the palette. Oh, and we can’t forget the free double-sided makeup brush that comes with it.
I did take this palette on my most recent vacation and it fit nicely in my travel bag. However, it is a little on the large side (side effect from having 20 eye shadows with a full size mirror) so if you have a small travel makeup bag, you won’t be able to fit too much else with it. On the other hand, you probably won’t need to either.
These eye shadows apply great! This is exactly what you would expect from UD. The pictures of the swatches on my hand were done with my index finger, without any primer. The colors are smooth when applied, and when paired well, they blend very easily.
You definately get what you pay for with UD, and this palette is no different. A little goes a long way. So you can use this palette to rock a bright, funky look, or really smoke out your eyes. Also the satin colors are great to make a day look that’ll last all day.
These eye shadows will give you 8 plus hours of wear. If you pair them with your favorite primer, then you are looking at over 12 hours of a freshly made-up eye.
Overall Grade: 4.8/5 = A
Now time for some pictures.
Top pictures are without flash, bottom with flash. No prime used with any of these swatches.
Here’s a look I wore wearing: Habit, Madness, Prank, and Smokeout.
