Client Question | Which Client Touched My Heart the Most?

May 14, 2018 by Kari Roberts Leave a Comment

This will be the first post of a 4-part series of questions I recently received regarding past clients. I was recently asked about who was my most touching client, and I figured this would be a fun question to start with.

Most Touching Client – Who?

My most touching client was a bride from 2015. She was a lovely bride who was so busy with planner her oversees wedding that her friend actually volunteered to look up makeup artists to help her out. Her friend came across me on social media and Fee ended up sending me a Facebook message.

The unique thing about Fee was that she was Scottish and was currently living in Edinburgh. We did all of our communication via Facebook messenger and emails. She was having issues with her immigration paperwork, so she was not scheduled to be State-side until the day before her wedding.

I agreed to book with her, and I was understanding of her circumstances. I was so excited to work with someone with such a unique situation. We ended up doing her trial run on the day she arrived to Atlanta, which happened to be a Friday – also the day before her wedding.

Most Touching Client – Why?

Over the years I have worked with several clients, with ranging situations and circumstances. But my mind often wonders back to Fee. At first I was thinking about how exciting it was to work with her. But as I ponder over time, I really can appreciate how much she was trusting in me. She was trusting complete stranger – sight unseen – to do her makeup with a very little margin for error (timewise). She never met me in person, let alone heard my voice. And she was so trusting and gracious to work with. She also had one of the happiest wedding parties I have every had the pleasure of working with. All of her ladies were in town from the UK and were so happy for her. And she was also the first bride to ever send me a hand written thank you note in the mail. (Of course, I still have it). Pure joy all the way around with I think of that wedding from August 2015!!

If you would like to know more about her story here is the link to the original blog I wrote.
