It’s no secret, especially if you have seen my YouTube videos that I have sweaty skin, mostly on my face. It’s not something that I am proud of, but it is something that I have learned to deal with on a regular basis. I have found something that works and I would love to share with you how to wear makeup for sweaty skin.
How to Wear Makeup for Sweaty Skin
The best way to have full coverage, without having it feel so heavy on your skin is to thin out your foundation. That basically means to mix your cream or liquid foundation with another cream or liquid. The choices are a liquid bronzer, lightweight moisturizer, or a primer for oil/sweat control.
What I recommend doing is mixing the other product with your foundation on the back of your hand. That way you can get the consistency you want, and you see what your pigmentation looks like before you apply it to your skin. When you apply it make sure you use a foundation brush – preferably a flat top brush so you can really buff it into your skin.
Next, you might need to add a second coat for your desired full coverage look. But you should notice that it feels lighter (like less product) on your skin. 🙂
You can stop right here, but you are more than welcome to set it with your favorite setting spray or a lightweight setting powder. Don’t go overboard – remember we are trying to minimize makeup for sweaty skin.
