A couple of weeks ago, I was asked to buddy up with a photographer friend of mine, Matt Druin, to do an on-location, styled shoot. We went to the lake (I’m from upstate NY, so it’s more like a pond to me….but anyways), Lake Acworth. It is drained in the winter and apparently is filled back up during the spring from the natural rainfall. (See why it’s not a lake to me? That would never happen with Lake Ontario ;-)). So at this time of year the water is low, so we walked out in it to have a dramatic/oasis looking kind of shoot.
He wanted the model’s to have kind of an edgy look and we lucked up and had a male and female model. I was able to be creative and we did a dramatic smoked-out eye on the female, Lizzy, with a nude lip and some basic male grooming on Craig. The weather was perfect, about 50 degrees with the perfect kind of cloudy overcast to create some great dreamy/dark images.
After I did the makeup I helped out as the gopher, carried things and was able to take some cool BTS pictures aka behind the scenes pictures.
Here’s what I snapped:
Then, these are the pictures from the professional :-)…..
