Another Podcast Interview
Yep! I actually couldn’t believe it. After my first interview with She Creates Business, I felt like I had made a huge accomplishment. One of those, whew, glad that’s over – on to something else, feelings. But before I could “move on” I was being asked to be a guest on another podcast interview. Here is the story behind my interview with Jess Creatives.
My Podcast Interview with Jess Creatives
Did you know people are actually still social on social media? Well I “met” Jess on social media. We started following each other’s businesses, and soon became cyber friends. At first, it didn’t seem like we had much in common – she’s a graphic designer and I am a makeup artist, but over time we found out that we knew some of the same people, and we are both female entrepreneurs. We also found out we are both in the Metro Atlanta area. That’s always nice to feel a local connection with someone.
Well, it seems like right after my first interview aired, Jess was in my inbox asking me to be on her show, Journeys in Business. And I knew her show. I loved it! She was so good to interview female entrepreneurs from a wide variety of industries, and I always found the conversations interesting and engaging. Watching her podcasts also helped me feel like I knew her better so I didn’t hesitate too long to say yes. Of course, we had to make sure the timing was right personally and professionally, but then after that, we were off and taping.
Taping Journeys In Business Podcast Interview
Jess was super accommodating around my busy schedule to do the interview. I was able to be in my office and taped it with my laptop computer (not the best), my earbuds, and my mic that I have used for audio content. We quickly reviewed our interview material. Then we chatted about life for about 20 minutes. We then taped the interview. It went so fast! I couldn’t believe it was over already. But this is when it gets good. We stayed online for probably close to an hour more just chatting. About business, big ideas, ways to help each other, and of course, FINALLY meeting in person.
This was truly a great experience for me in several ways. It has reaffirmed for me the value of personal connection and it also has taught me that I have something that people like. From the time that Jess asked me to be on her podcast I have stepped it up with my YouTube Channel, have started an audio content radio show on the anchor app, and have reinforced what I am sharing with my Karizma Tips subscribers. I have also made a new friend along the way. 🙂
