What is a good eye primer?
My favorite eyelid primer is Primer Potion from Urban Decay. Urban decay has 4 different formulas, but I keep the original formula in my professional kit. It is light weight, prevents colors from bleeding, prevent eye liner from running on lid (big deal if you have hooded eyelids like me) and makes any color more vibrant. It also dries clear. You can get it at any retailer that sells Urban Decay. Travel size is $12, regular size is $20.
Another option is the Pro Longwear Paint Pot from M-A-C. They are actually cream shadows and are designed to last for 12-16 hours. They do not crease, you can wear them alone, or use as a primer for other powdered shadows. These pots are so much fun because you can combine a variety of colors together! My favorite color is Painterly to use as a primer because it is a nude matte finish, but again you can use any paint pot as a primer. You can get these at M-A-C’s website , the M-A-C store, or at any retailer that sells M-A-C. Each paint pot is $20.
