This year most of my clients have been for 1 of 3 services: #1: bridal needs, #2 boudoir needs and #3 makeup lesson needs. I love the diversity and creativity of all 3 services. Bridal clients tend to want a more timeless beauty look. Makeup lesson clients can run the gambit of on-trend makeup looks to everyday makeup looks, and boudoir clients lend themselves to the most dramatic and artistically fun for me. Today I will be walking you through boudoir hair & makeup.
Boudoir Hair & Makeup
This client was a referral to me from one of my favorite Atlanta boudoir boutiques, OWN boudoir. She was so upbeat and fun and I loved her olive complexion. She had a short haircut, kind of like a bob and asked me to add texture to it for her shoot. I was able to do this by adding some tight beach waves with a curling wand.
She also expressed to the photographer that she would be having some of her pictures taken in black and white. So we had to make sure her facial features were able to shine through with the use of proper contouring and highlighting. We went for a smokey eye and then paired it with a neutral lip. To make sure her cheekbones popped in the photos, I topped off her highlight with one of my favorites: Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Moonstone.
