Some of you know that my husband I an recently moved. We did great, completely moved and settled in, within 2 weeks! The great (not really) thing about moving is I went through ALL of my hair, nails, body and makeup products. While packing I found one of my many gems and decided when I was settled I would do the treatment.
My “gem” was from Ole Henriksen. I love his skin care products. And for those of you who love makeup, like me, the best way to have great makeup is to apply it on well taken care of skin. (My public service announcement for today, :-)). It is called the POWER Peel. It is a professional grade, spa grade, microderm abrasion and acid peel system.
It is a 3-step process.
Step 1: Almond Polish – it exfoliates your skin, meaning it gets rid of dead skin and smooths your skin. You apply this to your wet skin with damp hands, and work it into your face and neck for 1-2 minutes. Then you rinse it off and pat dry your face, neck and hands. (Don’t forget to dry because you need dry skin for the next step).
Step 2: Lemon Strip – This is the facial peel. It refines your skin and complexion. You apply this to dry face and neck with dry hands. Leave this on for 2 minutes, or until dry. DO NOT WASH OFF. (This step made me a little nervous because you will definitely will feel it doing something. Everyone’s skin is different but on me it felt like a strong tingly sensation).
Step 3: Chamomile Comfort – This step is to comfort your skin. (Or in my case, calm down that tingly feeling). This gets applied with dry hands to your face and neck, ON TOP OF the Lemon Strip. This is a mask, so it’s kind of chalky and white looking. Allow to stay on your face for 15 minutes. I liked the way it felt so I left it on until it was completely dry, about 20 minutes.
After I rinsed of my skin I followed it up with my night cream – oh you know it’s from Ole. Sheer Transformation. The great thing about this whole process was when my husband saw me he thought I was playing in makeup. He said my skin looked very smooth and clear. I’ll take it. 🙂
I think this is a great way to nurture your skin without breaking the bank by going to a spa and getting a facial. You can get a 2 treatment pack for $16, or a 6 treatment pack for $45. This can be ordered on the Ole Henriksen website, or at my favorite makeup store Sephora. (Disclaimer: this was bought with my own funds and I am not paid to write this blog).
